The 2012 HUSI program is founded upon a solid curriculum of language instruction and area studies courses that have attracted students from around the globe for the past forty-one years. To be admitted to the Harvard Ukrainian Summer Institute (HUSI), applicants must be at least 19 years of age or have completed one year of college. Admission decisions are based on the applicant's academic record, a letter of recommendation, and an essay.
Tuition for HUSI is commensurate with tuition rates charged for all other Harvard Summer School courses: $5,400 for 8 unit courses and $2,700 for 4 unit courses plus the cost of registration and other fees. For information about and the cost of on campus housing, please go to the Harvard Summer School Housing web page. Applicants may register for 8 or 4 units to participate in the program. Please note: applicants seeking a student visa must register for 8 units in order to be eligible for this class of US visa.
All students seeking financial aid (US and Foreign) must submit the HUSI application and supporting material by Friday, March 2, 2012. International students who require an I-20 (F-1 visa) but do not seek financial aid must submit the HUSI application by Friday, March 30, 2012.
