Summer Travel Grants

HURI Summer Research Travel Grants support research by Harvard students that is dedicated to advancing knowledge of Ukraine and conducted in Ukraine during the upcoming summer. In respond to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, HURI will accept applications for research that does not involve travel to Ukraine.

Grants of up to $3,000 for graduate students and up to $2,500 for undergraduate students are awarded to support research expenses and research related travel expenses.

Current Harvard graduate students and undergraduate students are eligible to apply. Students much be enrolled at Harvard University at the time of their grant supported research.

All travel grants are dependent on compliance with US and Harvard travel guidelines. Please closely review the information provided by Harvard Global Support Services. Students are responsible for adjusting their travel plans accordingly and notifying HURI of any changes.
