HURI's Temerty Contemporary Ukraine Program (TCUP) will hold its inaugural conference online in February 2021.

Organized by TCUP Director Emily Channell-Justice, the conference "Why Is Ukraine a Democracy?" brings together academic and policy experts to discuss Ukraine's democratic development from past to present, as well as prospects for the future.

The conference will take place over the course of five days, with one event each day at 12:00 noon EST. The keynote address, given by Francis Fukuyama (Stanford) on February 3, will be streamed publicly as a Seminar in Ukrainian Studies. Other panels will take place as webinars for registered audience members only. Register online for one or more of the events.

For more information and the schedule of panel and participants, visit the TCUP Conference webpage.
