I will die in a foreign land - book cover and event info

In Kalani Pickhart's award-winning debut novel, four lives are changed by the 2013 Euromaidan Protests in Ukraine. In a kaleidoscopic narrative, Pickhart depicts not only the intricacies of these individual lives, but also the cultural shifts that took place in Ukraine at the time. "Innovative, emotionally resonant, and deeply affecting," according to Kirkus Reviews, I Will Die in a Foreign Land is the winner of the New York Public Library Young Lions Fiction Award.

Join Davis Center Outreach and Kalani Pickhart for a conversation about her novel, what led her to write it, and its place in today's literary and political landscape. The first ten registrants will receive a free copy of the novel, which can also be purchased here.

This is the first of a three-part series that Davis Center Outreach is running this Spring, "Davis Center Reads," in which we will read and discuss books focused on Ukraine.
