Don Ostrowski
Don Ostrowski is a lecturer at the Harvard Extension School, where he has taught courses in history and methodology for 40 years. His publications include Muscovy and the Mongols: Cross-Cultural Influences on the Steppe Frontier, 1304-1589 (Cambridge University Press, 1998); The Povest′ vremennykh let: An Interlinear Collation and Paradosis (Harvard University Press, 2003); Europe, Byzantium and the “Intellectual Silence” of Rus′ Culture (ARC Humanities, 2018), Who Wrote That? Authorship Controversies from Moses to Sholokhov (Cornell University Press, 2020); and Russia in the Early Modern World: The Continuity of Change (Lexington Books, 2022). He lives in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, where he serves on the Historical Commission and is an avid chess player.
